UW-Green Bay strives to offer personalized resources for all students to ensure they feel supported and cared for. Struggling to find your way on campus, want to get involved or have questions about UWGB? Check out these resources:

Academic Advising

Academic Advising offers advising to first year, new transfers and undeclared students. Academic support and information is provided through individual and group sessions, to help you decide your major, career path and how to navigate picking classes. If you have questions and would like to meet with your assigned Academic Advisor, please call (920) 465–2111 to schedule an appointment or stop in at the GBOSS desk Student Services 1100. All students are being seen on an appointment basis.

Campus Cupboard:

The Campus Cupboard is a student led organization that provides a on-campus food pantry, clothing and personal/cleaning hygiene products for students, faculty and staff. The Campus Cupboard is located in the ‘CK One’ space in Rose Hall 140 (in the corridor section between Wood and Rose Halls). Just use your university ID to swipe in during academic building hours, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Career Services:

Stop in to Career Services to get help with your resume, cover letter and to learn important interview skills! Career Services hosts job fairs, workshops and events that are geared around exploring majors, employment opportunities and life after college.

Community Center:

The Hendrickson Community Center is full of resources for residental UW-Green Bay students. The center houses the Mail Room, where all your packages can be picked up; a printing station; and the front desk where all your housing and maintenance questions and concerns can be answered! During the academic school year the Community Center is open 24/7.

Disability Services:

If you are a current or new student at UW-Green Bay and have a documented disability, Disability Services can help you with academic accomodations. If you have any questions, please contact the office by email at dis@uwgb.edu or by phone 920-465–2841.

Financial Aid:

Financial Aid helps students and their families who seek financial resources to help cover educational costs. They also provide information about options for funding your educational costs, like student employment, scholarships and veteran’s assistance. To contact the Financial Aid office, visit Student Sevices 1100 Monday-Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or call 920–465–2111

Health & Counseling:

All students currently enrolled in classes, including online classes, are able to utilize the Counseling & Health Center. The center offers services like 1:1 counseling, RN assessments, Physician/Nurse Practitioner visits and even flu shots. The office is located in the Student Services Building, Room 1400, just past the Bursar’s Office. Stop in or call 920-465-2708 to ask questions or set up a meeting.

Learning & Writing Center:

Need help writing that big paper, or help studying for that intimidating mid-term? Stop by the Learning & Writing Center to receive FREE academic support and tutoring. Tutoring is by appointment — either 1:1 sessions or in study groups. All assistance is offered by student mentors that are experts on subject areas and have successfully completed courses.

Library Services:

Need help with research or just need a good book recommendation? the Cofrin Library has tons of resources for students. Stop by the third floor of the Library to talk to a librarian in person, check out a book or a laptop and ask for help while searching for research. The Library also has an online chat and resource database online at https://www.uwgb.edu/library/

MESA:

The Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs (MESA) Office provides advising, services and activities for multi-ethnic students on campus. MESA also conducts educational programs that enhance learning through the promotion of respect and appreciation of racial and ethnic diversity. MESA is located in the University Union, Suite 112, next to the Phoenix Club. The MESA lounge is open Monday through Friday: 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Office of International Education:

The Office of International Education (OIE) serves both international students as well as students who want to or are studying abroad. OIE offers information about travel courses, scholarships, costs and any other information about studying abroad while at UWGB. If interested in international travel, stop by the Office located at Cofrin Library 108 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday or call 920-465-2190.

Office of Student Life:

Visit the Office of Student Life to get connected with student organizations, take part in leadership and volunteer opportunities and attend events and campus activities. The office is the home for University Student Ambassadors and Good Times Programing.

Phoenix Cares:

Have a concern about a student or need to report a bias/hate crime? Phoenix Cares is your place to go to share concerns about other students or if you need assistance yourself. For more info or to file a concern visit: https://www.uwgb.edu/phoenix-cares/

Pride Center:

The Pride Center is a welcoming place for all LGBTQ+ students that provides high-quality support services, like support groups and helps those with academic and personal growth. The center is a great place to attend events, meet people and just hang out!

University Police:

The campus University Police actively patrol the university, provide 24-hour response, provide safe walks for students and even host self-defense trainings throughout the semester. To contact University Police for a non-emergency situation please call 920–465–2300.

University Recreation (UREC):

For fitness, intramurals, outdoor adventure recreation, swim lessons and equipment rentals UREC is the place to be! UREC serves UW-Green Bay students and the campus community through sport and recreation facilities, inclusive programming, and leadership opportunities in pursuit of mental and physical well-being. All UREC activities are located at the Kress Events Center, for more information check our the UREC Facebook page, or call at 920–465–2449.

Veteran & Service Member Student Lounge:

All Veterans and Service members attending UWGB are welcome to the lounge. The space provides a comfortable atmosphere for student veterans and service members and their dependent to connect, relax and study. This pace is located in MAC Hall 227 and includes comfortable furniture, computers, televisions and a kitchen area.
