A: UW-Green Bay Residence Life has a great list to use as a starting point of what to bring (and not to bring!) when you move onto campus, but a couple of students shared their inside perspective as well…

Dani LaPorte (senior communication major):

A window fan- “Sometimes it can get hot in the residence halls at the beginning of the school year and being the only one with a cool room on your floor will make you very popular!”

Laundry basket or bag- you don’t want your dirty clothes ending up on the floor. Plus, it’s helpful to have something to carry them in when you’re going to the laundry room.

Pictures/extra picture frames - Bring pictures of your friends, family, pets. Being in college can be hard at times, so it’s nice to bring a little reminder that you always have people supporting you! Also, bring extra picture frames for pictures of the friends you meet while you’re here too!

Ben Berndt (junior communication major):

Storage crates or bins- “Keep yourself organized in your small space with these helpful tools!”

Cassie Walczak (senior education major):

Step stool- “To get on to a junior lofted bed if you’re a little on the short side.”

Anna Katner (senior communication major):

A water bottle or two- “Stay hydrated at events, class and working out at the Kress Events Center!”

Your favorite Phoenix gear- “So you can show off your Phoenix pride.”
