We asked students to share their three favorite places in Green Bay. See what they had to say and then start exploring!

Anna Katner enjoys the fall colors of Green Bay at Baird Creek

Anna Katner, senior

1. Baird Creek Trail — “Who knew something so beautiful is just a few minutes from campus? Baird Creek is one of Green Bay’s hidden treasures. Enjoy a hike, picnic with some friends or watch the sunset over the treetops.”

2. Farmers’ Market on Broadway — “This farmers’ market takes place in the middle of the week. Fresh food and fun is a great way to give yourself a break midweek.”

3. Bay Beach Amusement Park — “Bay Beach Amusement Park makes you feel like a kid again. It is great way to make memories and not break your bank! Be sure to check out the concessions while you’re there! Yum!”

Lexi Bretl, sophomore

1. The Cofrin Memorial Arboretum trails — “The arboretum is so beautiful, calm and relaxing. After a long day of classes or studying, the best thing to do is to take a break and walk the trails. I especially like the bridge.” (See left.)

2. Lambeau Field — “We are so fortunate to attend a school in the city of professional football team. It is a blast to visit the stadium on game days or any day, really!”

3. Nectar — “The smoothie bowls are so good and healthy, and it’s an awesome place to study.”

Ben Berndt, junior

1. The CityDeck — “There are so many different events going on the CityDeck… like Fridays on the Fox! Even when there isn’t an event going on, it’s a great place to hang out and relax downtown.”

2. Communiversity Park — “It has one of the best views of the sunset over the bay. It’s also awesome the trails of the Cofrin Memorial Arboretum take you right out there.”

3. The Resch Center — “I love basketball games. Going to see the Green Bay men’s basketball team playing at the Resch for free is an awesome experience.”

Dani LaPorte, senior

1. Green Bay Botanical Garden — “I especially love the gardens around Christmas time. With all the lights, it is so magical and everyone who visits is genuinely excited to be there. Take a hay ride with some of your friends, and I promise you will leave with some serious warm-fuzzies!”

2. The Attic — “This coffee shop is cute and easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it. It has that ‘hidden gem’ feeling to it, and you could spend hours there reading a book or catching up with a friend.”

Dani LaPorte “hanging out” at Bay Beach Wildife Sanctuary

3. Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary — “I love all the animals and the nature. They also have a little museum area where you can learn about specific animals as well as watch baby bunnies and squirrels being fed. There is literally nothing cuter.”
