5 Activities in Green Bay That Are Sure to Put You in the Fall Spirit

Now that fall foliage is starting to peek through and temperatures are dropping, it is the perfect time to start checking items off of your fall bucket list! Here are a few ideas located in the Green Bay area that are sure to give you a trick or treat!

  1. Grab a Warm Drink at a Coffee House

An easy and affordable way to get into the cozy, fall spirit is to grab a hot coffee, apple cider, or hot chocolate from a local coffee house! Coffee shops are a great place to catch up with a friend, get some work done or get in a little “me time”. Kavarna Coffeehouse, Daily Buzz, Glas Coffee, The Attic Books & Coffee, Luna Coffee Roasters are just a few local coffee shops located in the Green Bay Area! Or stop by the Coffeeshop, Common Grounds, right on campus, in the Union!

2. Visit a Haunted House

Here is a night activity that is sure to give you a scare! Terror on the Fox and Green Bay FEAR Haunted House are two haunted houses located in Green Bay. Terror on the Fox has a variety of different haunted houses as well as spooky ad-ons that will put you in the Halloween spirit. For their 2021 season, you can board the Terror Train, visit the Boogeyman, or witness the Spirit of Halloween. You may purchase additional activities such as the Fight For Your Life Escape Game where you have five minutes to find the cure to a disease that has plaugued your team. You can purchase tickets online or in-person for 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., 11 p.m. or 12 a.m. time slots. To see available dates and times or to get more information visit terroronthefox.com here. Legend has it that Green Bay FEAR Haunted House is located on an actual haunted mansion located at 1950 Bond Street, 54303, in Green Bay, WI. This year G.B.F.H.H has three different attractions. The first is “Shawno Manor” where the Fearstein Family, made up of freaks, killers, and miscreants wish for you to join their family through illuminating your deepest and darkest fears. The second is Howling Hollow, where you are met with the origin of Halloween and those too wicked to be inside of the Shawno Manor. Lastly, Mr. Jingles Funhouse where Mr. Jingles himself is waiting for you with different spooky paths and rooms that are sure to give you a scare. Interested in checking out one of these attractions? 3. Explore Local Trails

Interested in getting some fresh air and looking at a fall-fabulous view? Consider walking down one of the many trails our campus has to offer to see our fall foliage first-hand. Walking our trails this time of year is perfect for taking a study break, going on an adventure or un-plugging for a bit. Check out the Cofrin Memorial Arboretum trail or one of these trails close to campus: Ahnapee, Baird Creek, East River, Fox River, Mountain Bay, and Reforestation Trails.

4. Visit Breweries & Restaurants

Nothing screams fall like comfort food, coffee and beer (if you are of age). There are multiple different breweries located in or around Green Bay, including Copper State Brewing, Hinterland Brewery, Noble Roots Brewing Company, Titletown Brewing Co., Badger State Brewing, Stillmank Brewing, Narrow Bridge Brewery, and more!

Copper State Brewing is well-known for their woodfire pizzas, sandwiches, and burgers that will keep you warm all season long. Try out some food for yourself, Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., stop and grab a drink Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. or grab a cup of coffee Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. or Saturday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. For menus and more information, visit here.

Badger State Brewing has their Tap House open from 3–10 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, 2–10 p.m. on Thursday, 2 p.m.-12 a.m. on Friday, 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Saturday and 12–8 p.m. on Sunday. Badger State Brewing is known for their Insta-worthy outdoor beer garden, hard cider, coffee, their homemade seltzer, and of course, beer. Check out more information here.

5. Check Out Titletown District

Stop by the Titletown District to enjoy all they have to offer. You don’t have to visit on game days to enjoy the space adjacent to Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers! There is fun for all ages in every season. Currently, you can stroll and enjoy fall decor and if you are looking for structured activities, take advantage of the various events hosted by Titletown every month.
