Winter break is here! Have you thought of ways to stay productive? Here are a few suggestions straight from SpongeBob Squarepants…

Get prepared for the spring semester

Collect school supplies and get organized. This is an opportunity to set yourself up for success.

Take a January Interim course

Students may take a maximum of two courses during the January Interim. Gain credits and add to your resume with an extra course or two. Check out the registration calendar and SIS to sign up.

Check off items on the UWGB Winter Bucket List

Take advantage of all of the adventurous things to do in the Green Bay Area during the winter season.

Read a new book

Enjoy a break from academic reading. The Cofrin Library has contemporary reading options. Visit the fourth floor to browse the popular reading collection. If you are not staying in the Green Bay Area, you could explore your local public library.

Volunteer

’Tis the season of giving. Your time is one of the best ways to give! Find an opportunity to take part in person-to-person giving.

Visit the gym

Classes may not be in session, but the Kress Center is open! Visit the Kress Center or a gym nearby to stay fit.

Look into international opportunities

UW-Green Bay offers programs for every type of student in locations worldwide. Check out the Winter Break Study Abroad To Do List and visit the Office of International Education to start making study abroad plans.

Work

If employed, pick up extra shifts or get a seasonal job to ease your mind financially.

Update your resume

A fresh, updated resume is important for any college student. Break is a great time to reflect on new accomplishments and to polish the centerpiece of any job-hunting strategy.

Relax

It’s great to be productive, but it is also important to rest and rejuvenate before the next semester. Have a great winter break!

Imagine the possibilities

Use your imagination and stay productive over winter break.
